A film was confirmed on the E4 website for Summer 2011 release,^[17] and filming will begin in Bristol and the Isle of Man in late 2010. Scripted by Jack Thorne and directed by Charles Martin,^[18] the film will be based around the First Generation^[17] but will have appearances from the Second Generation and also the Third.^[18] It has been confirmed that Dev Patel^[19] and Nicholas Hoult^[19] will be part of the cast.
